Tennessee Titans rookie WR Carnell Tate didn’t practice yesterday. I saw a few posts with the headline “Carnell Tate injury update,” but when you click on the story, it doesn’t actually have an update. Hey, it’s always clickbait season!
The team hasn’t said anything officially about why Tate didn’t practice. There are reports out there that it is a minor thing that shouldn’t keep him out for long. Of course, if you have been a Titans fan for any length of time, you know that when it comes to receivers around here, that could mean he will miss a month or more. The good news there is that we are still about six weeks away from the opening of training camp. That should give him plenty of time to be ready.

By all accounts, Tate has been great so far this offseason. The Titans haven’t had a true number one receiver since they traded A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles. They might just have that in Tate.
This is also the deepest receiver room they have had since they moved to Tennessee. They won’t need Tate to be the star from day one.
