The status of two of the Toronto Raptors‘ primary initiators is in question on Monday.
Barnes and Quickley each missed Friday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks with a left adductor/groin injury and right hamstring tightness, respectively.
An all-star last season, Barnes appeared to be be labouring and favouring his hip during the third quarter in Wednesday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets.
Barnes, 25, has averaged 23.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.3 steals in 33.3 minutes over eight games this season.
It’s unclear how or when Quickley suffered the injury, but he played 32 minutes in that same game.
The 27-year-old is averaging 17.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 31.8 minutes in eight games.
Star wing Kawhi Leonard also remains out while undergoing the return-to-play process after receiving treatment for left knee swelling. An update on Leonard’s status is expected on Tuesday.
