Someone has to take the blame. Inevitably in sports, when something goes wrong, blame is assigned.
This week, we decided to assign blame for the slow start to the Dallas Cowboys season. A season that began so optimistically with many pundits calling the team a possible contender. Those were the good ol’ days.

Today, on the precipice of Week 6 for the team, they have a 2-3 record and the infamous loss at home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team is sputtering and if they get further into a hole, they may not be able to get themselves out.
So who is to blame? We put that question to Cowboys fans, and the biggest winner loser in the blame game was none other than Jerry Jones with 43% of the vote. It all starts at the top.
The players (21%) and Brian Schottenheimer (19%) came in second and third, well behind Jones.
This kind of vote says that fans believe the issue in Dallas is more systemic, it’s baked in as long as Jones is the GM and final word on everything.

We also did a confidence poll, and only 13% were confident the team was headed in the right direction. If the Cowboys drop another game in Week 6, things are going to get spicy.
They head to Green Bay on Sunday night, now as 1.5-point underdogs. They need the upset in the worst way.
