The Warriors have signed free agent forward Tyler Burton to an Exhibit 10 deal, Keith Smith reports for Spotrac (via Twitter).
Golden State previously acquired the rights to Burton as part of a G League trade between the Santa Cruz Warriors and the Memphis Hustle that sent Yuri Collins to Memphis.
Burton, a 26-year-old, 6’7″ forward, played 12 games for the Grizzlies last season as a rookie. In 25.6 minutes per game, he averaged 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game, though he struggled with his efficiency, posting .375/.333/.852 shooting splits.
The deal comes on the heels of the Warriors waiving guard Miles Kelly. Should Burton be waived prior to the start of the season, he will be eligible to earn a bonus worth up to $91K on top of his base salary if he spends at least 60 days with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
