Ayo Dosunmu exited Game 2 of Minnesota’s series against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday with right heel and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
Dosunmu subbed out with just over five minutes remaining until halftime. He played only 10 minutes, missed a single three-point attempt and registered one steal and one block.
The 26-year-old guard had missed Minnesota’s last three playoff games after being scratched ahead of Game 6 against the Denver Nuggets with right calf soreness.
Acquired at the trade deadline for Rob Dillingham, Canadian Leonard Miller, and four second-round picks, Dosunmu scored a career-high 43 points in Game 4 of the first round off the bench.
Anthony Edwards played in Game 2 after initially being listed as questionable due to the left knee bone bruise he sustained in Game 4 of Minnesota’s first-round win over the Nuggets.
The Timberwolves are without Edwards’ usual starting backcourt mate, Donte DiVincenzo, who suffered a torn right Achilles tendon in Game 4 against Denver.
