The New Orleans Saints return to action Sunday following their bye week as they host the Cleveland Browns in a matchup that could feature two quarterbacks from the 2025 NFL Draft class.
Despite their disappointing 2-5 record, the Saints remain just one game out of first place in the NFC South, making Sunday’s matchup an important opportunity to gain some ground in the division standings. A victory would not only provide some much-needed momentum but also keep New Orleans firmly in the hunt for the division title as the season enters its second half.

For the Saints, Tyler Shough continues to show why he is the future of this franchise despite the team’s offensive struggles. Establishing consistency, protecting the football and finding an early rhythm will be key to getting them back in the win column.
On the opposite sideline, Shedeur Sanders could get an opportunity to lead the Brown’s offense with Deshaun Watson dealing with a concussion. Sanders will be looking to prove himself if called upon so Brandon Staley’s and the Saints defense will need to be on its toes.
With both quarterbacks eager to make a statement, can Shough lead the Black and Gold to a much-needed home victory, or will Sanders steal the spotlight in the Superdome?
PREDICTION: Saints 27 – Browns 24

The Saints are relatively healthy for the first time this season, getting Jordyn Tyson and Kelvin Banks Jr. back. If the offense can limit turnovers, get points on the board early and put together a complete game, they can get back into the win column this week.
