Stephen Curry will most likely finish his career in Golden State.

The Warriors have agreed to a two-year, $116-million contract extension with the franchise icon, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Friday.

The deal includes a player option in 2028-29, Charania added.

Curry had just one year left on his current deal, but will no longer hit the open market next off-season.

He took $20 million less than the maximum salary to give the Warriors more flexibility to add next Summer, per ESPN.

The 38-year-old said earlier this week that he didn’t want his looming extension to be a distraction as training camp opens.

Curry has played his entire 17-year career with the Warriors, becoming a 12-time all-star, two-time scoring champ, two-time MVP, 11-time all-NBA team member and a four-time NBA champion.

In 2025-26, injuries limited Curry to just 43 games. In his appearances, he averaged 26.6 points, 4.7 assists and shot 39.3 per cent from three.

Curry is the NBA’s all-time three-point leader with 4248 made.

The Warriors are hoping to make one last run at a championship with their veteran core of Curry, Draymond Green and head coach Steve Kerr.
