Canadian guard Ryan Nembhard has been dealt for a second time this off-season as he gears up for his sophomore season.

The 23-year-old Aurora, Ont., native was previously dealt to Atlanta in a mid-July three-team trade that sent Zaccharie Risacher to the Dallas Mavericks.

Nembhard, the younger brother of Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard, had a solid rookie season with the Mavericks, averaging 6.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists while shooting 41.5 per cent from the field and 35.6 per cent from three over 60 games after signing as an undrafted free agent.

He started 27 of those games alongside rookie of the year Cooper Flagg and will now get the chance for an expanded role with the Hornets, who dealt franchise point guard LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier in the off-season.

Hield, meanwhile, joined the Hawks at the 2026 trade deadline in a deal with the Golden State Warriors. Over his 51 games last year, he averaged a career-low 7.6 points, along with 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 34.9 per cent from three.

Finney-Smith, 33, gives the Hawks some additional size and length on the wing, having plied his trade as a three-and-D specialist in years past. He struggled with injuries and inconsistencies last season, averaging a career-low 3.3 points, with 2.4 rebounds and one assist in 37 games.
