Jamahl Mosley is sticking around in the American Southeast.
Mosley was fired by the Magic in early May after losing in the first round of the playoffs to the Detroit Pistons. Orlando had pushed the No. 1 seed Pistons to Game 7, but squandered a 3-1 series lead.
That series loss marked the third straight first-round defeat for the Magic under Mosley.
Hired by Orlando ahead of the 2021-22 season, Mosley posted a 189-221 regular-season record in five years with the Magic.
New Orleans, meanwhile, fired five-year head coach Willie Green 12 games into the 2025-26 season and replaced him with James Borrego in the interim.
The Pelicans missed the playoffs for a second straight season after finishing with a 26-56 record and don’t control their first-round pick in this year’s draft after a trade with the Atlanta Hawks last year.
