The rising young power forward is switching his jersey from No. 12 to No. 30, the Raptors announced on Thursday.
Murray-Boyles will first rock the new number at NBA Summer League later this month in Las Vegas.
The 21-year-old also wore No. 30 in college at South Carolina.
However, No. 12 worked pretty well for him in his rookie NBA season, as he made the all-rookie team thanks to per-game averages of 8.5 points, five rebounds and 1.9 assists over 57 contests, including 22 starts.
Murray-Boyles also impressed in his first post-season run, putting up 14.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in seven appearances off the bench as the Raptors fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a seven-game first-round series.
