Record:

The Patriots are 2-2 after a big AFC East battle at the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, a 29-26 win over the previously undefeated Bills. The Patriots played Sunday without defensive stars Christian Gonzalez and Christian Barmore. Their status for next week is unclear.

Last meeting:

Last season, these two teams reminded the NFL and its fan base just how wild and unpredictable Week 1 of every NFL season can be. It is certainly not a sure indication of things to come. Case in point: On September 7 last season, the Raiders began the Pete Carroll era with a 20-13 win at New England. Like Carrol, Mike Vrabel was in his first game as the head coach of his team. The Raiders went on to earn the No. 1 overall pick in the draft and Carroll was fired the day after the season ended. Vrabel was named the AP NFL Coach of the Year and led New England to the Super Bowl. So, yeah, Week 1.
