The Pelicans have agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with unrestricted free agent Chris Bell, Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers reports (via Twitter).
Bell played his first three seasons at Syracuse before transferring to Cal for his senior year. The 6’7″ forward averaged 14.2 points and shot 40.0% from three on 5.6 attempts this season, and is a career 38.6% shooter from deep. He didn’t provide much in the way of rebounds or assists, but proved himself to be a reliable shooter in college.
Bell was unranked in Jeremy Woo’s final big board for ESPN.
If Bell is waived before the start of the season, he could earn a bonus worth up to $91K if he spends at least 60 days with the Laketown Squadron, New Orleans’ G League affiliate.
