A veteran of 144 NFL games made a midweek stop in Foxborough.

The New England Patriots hosted guard Greg Van Roten on a visit Thursday morning, according to a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and ESPN.

A free agent since March, Van Roten spent the past two seasons with the New York Giants. The 36-year-old has started 105 games on the interior offensive line during his NFL run, including 51 in a row. He spent the previous two campaigns with the New York Giants, finishing both as the organization’s ironman and logging a career-high 1,150 offensive snaps in 2025.

Originally entering the league as an undrafted free agent out of Penn in 2012, Van Roten has also been a member of the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders. A CFL stint arrived along the way with the Toronto Argonauts.

Primarily a right guard, the 6-foot-4, 295-pound former All-Ivy League offensive tackle has also eclipsed 2,000 downs between left guard and center.

The Patriots currently carry a full 91-man roster. The interior offensive line heads further into training camp with Alijah Vera-Tucker, Jared Wilson, Mike Onwenu, Ben Brown, Andrew Rupcich, Mehki Butler, Caedan Wallace, James Hudson as well as undrafted rookies Jacob Rizy and JonDarius Morgan in the fold.

The preseason opens next Thursday night at Gillette Stadium with a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff versus the Indianapolis Colts.
