Joe Brady spoke to media after the Buffalo Bills finished up their Friday practice. The first year head coach said that Christian Benford will officially be listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.
Brady’s statement is a little surprising since the cornerback left last week’s game early, was seen in a walking boot after, and hasn’t been seen at a single practice since. Is Brady being coy or is her legitimately hopeful that the only veteran outside corner on the roster will be able to run on Sunday?

It’s very likely that the Bills will elevate a DB from the practice squad before tomorrow’s deadline. Buffalo
has Te’Cory Couch, Anthony Kendall, and Kani Walker on the practice squad. They also have safety Geno Stone available, but Crouch is the most likely. He was active last week in place of Jordan Hancock who has landed on the Injured Reserve list.
Brady also said that Ray Davis will be questionable for Sunday’s game. While it’s possible that we could see Frank Gore, Jr again, that would make his third – and final – elevation. It’s more likely that the Bills just go with two running backs and use Jackson Hawes in the backfield if needed.
TJ Sanders also received a designation Friday afternoon (doubtful). The second-year defensive lineman has an emergency appendectomy on September 22. He has been practicing this week, but it seems like at least one more week of work would be reasonable.
As for the Patriots, head coach Mike Vrabel said that neither cronerback Christian Gonzalez nor defenisive tackle Christian Barmore will play in Buffalo.
