Kyle Shanahan reveals teams 49ers ‘likely’ will face in joint practices originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
While 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan says it’s not set in stone, he revealed who the team likely play against in joint practices and one of the teams is also on San Francisco’s regular season schedule.

“We’re most likely going to go up against Tennessee [Titans] and the [Los Angeles] Chargers,” Shanahan told reporters on Thursday.
The two teams are the 49ers’ Week 1 and 2 preseason opponents, respectively, but San Francisco will also see that same Chargers squad at SoFi Stadium in Week 15 of the NFL season.
Still, the 49ers coach doesn’t think the practices will give the team’s opponent any future intel.
“Not really, no, you stay pretty vanilla,” Shanahan said when asked if he’d be worried about giving up too much strategy. “You’re not scheming and stuff and doing stuff in practice. It’s just more getting guys a chance to go against a couple different things than they usually go against.”

Last season, the 49ers faced the Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos prior to their preseason matchups.
