The Jazz have waived 24-year-old shooting guard Matthew Murrell, the team announced in a press release.
This announcement comes just two days after the team signed him to what was presumed to be an Exhibit 10 deal, thereby allowing the team to retain his player rights while giving him the opportunity to earn a bonus of up to $91K should he spend at least 60 days with the Jazz’s G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars.
Murrell played 44 games for the Stars last season, helping them to win the 2025 G League Winter Showcase, the team notes. He averaged 10.8 points on .398/.313/.750 shooting splits in 28.0 minutes per game during that period.
