Free agent forward Jacob Toppin has signed a three-year contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv, the Israeli club announced on Wednesday in a press release.

The younger brother of Pacers forward Obi Toppin, Jacob went undrafted out of Kentucky in 2023 and has spent most of the past three seasons playing with the Knicks and Hawks, as well as their respective G League affiliates. He has appeared in 31 NBA regular season games, logging just 131 total minutes.

The 26-year-old, who signed a two-way contract with Atlanta last July, was waived in December after he suffered a season-ending right shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum. Prior to the injury, he made five appearances for the Hawks and five for the College Park Skyhawks. In those G League outings, he averaged 18.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks in 31.0 minutes per game.

Toppin, who will be playing overseas for the first time in his professional career, is joining a Hapoel Tel Aviv squad that posted a 23-15 record in the EuroLeague regular season in 2025/26. The team finished sixth in the standings and was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by Real Madrid.

Hapoel Tel Aviv’s roster features no shortage of players with NBA experience. The team has already signed Amir Coffey and Tomas Satoransky this offseason while also working out contract extensions with Elijah Bryant, Ish Wainright, Antonio Blakeney, and Daniel Oturu. Other NBA veterans on the roster include Vasilije Micic and Tyler Ennis.
