The Turkish team Fenerbahce has finalized new contracts with a pair of former NBA players, announcing that they’ve worked out contract extensions with swingman Talen Horton-Tucker and forward Chris Silva (Twitter links).
The 46th overall pick in the 2019 draft, Horton-Tucker earned regular minutes early in his career with the Lakers, parlaying that rotation role into a three-year deal worth nearly $31MM during the 2021 offseason. However, he was traded a year later and finished out the contract with Utah before signing a minimum-salary contract with Chicago in 2024.
The 25-year-old has 305 total regular season appearances under his belt, but spent last season with Fenerbahce, averaging 15.9 points per game on 48.4% in 36 EuroLeague appearances. He has signed another one-year contract, according to the team.
Silva, meanwhile, appeared in 70 regular season games for Miami, Sacramento, Minnesota, and Dallas from 2019-23 but has been out of the NBA since being waived by Atlanta in the fall of 2023. The 29-year-old spent time competing in Puerto Rico, Israel, and Greece before catching on with Fenerbahce midway through the 2025/26 season. His new deal will cover ’26/27, with a second-year option for ’27/28.
