For a fifth consecutive day, the Hornets have signed a free agent to a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contract with an eye toward having him play for their G League affiliate this season. Charlotte’s latest addition to its 21-man offseason roster is guard/forward Kobe Stewart, who replaces guard Jarkel Joiner (Twitter links).

Stewart joins Josiah Allick, Trey Townsend, Kyle Mangas, and Joiner among this week’s Hornets signees. It sounds like the plan is for each of them to end up with the Greensboro Swarm as returning rights players this fall. By signing them to Exhibit 10 contracts ahead of the season, Charlotte can ensure they receive bonuses worth up to $91K on top of their NBAGL base salaries if they spend at least 60 days with the Swarm.

Stewart, who went undrafted out of Presbyterian College in 2025, spent his first professional season playing in the G League, where he appeared in a total of 46 games for the Austin Spurs, Memphis Hustle, and Wisconsin Herd. The 6’6″ swingman averaged 7.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 20.0 minutes per game, with a shooting line of .455/.308/.767.

Stewart suited up for the Bucks at the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer Leagues in July, getting into six games and averaging 4.8 PPG and 2.5 RPG in 12.8 MPG.

The Swarm will have to acquire Stewart’s rights from the Herd via trade at some point in order for him to join the Hornets’ affiliate and earn his Exhibit 10 bonus.
