Giants, Jon Runyan reach agreement on two-year, million contract extension

The Giants agreed to a two-year, $22 million contract extension with guard Jon Runyan on Sunday, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The deal, which includes $21.5 million guaranteed, will take the 29-year-old, who has spent the last two seasons in New York, through the 2028 season.

After beginning his career with the Green Bay Packers where he played for four seasons, Runyan became a free agent in 2024 and signed a three-year, $30 million contract to join Big Blue.

With the Giants, Runyan played in 16 games (all starts) in 2025 after playing 13 games (all starts) the year before and has been a steady presence in a somewhat shaky offensive line.

The 6-foot-4, 307-pounder will look to better protect quarterback Jaxson Dart this season after Dart was sacked 35 times in 14 games during his rookie campaign.
