The New York Giants, who were without three of their top five cornerbacks at practice on Tuesday, will host former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold for a free-agent visit on Wednesday, a source confirmed.

Arnold, a 2024 first-round pick by the Detroit Lions, was released on June 29. Arnold, 23, isfacing eight felony charges stemming from allegations he orchestrated the abduction and beating of three men. The Lions released him after he was charged.

The Associated Press summarized the reason for the charges against Arnold this way:

In June, prosecutors in Florida said Arnold arranged for the men to be pistol-whipped after he wrongly suspected them of stealing $100,000 in cash and luxury goods from him. Police called him the “primary conspirator” in the February attack, and a judge set his bail at $1 million.

The legal troubles have not prevented NFL teams from looking into signing Arnold. He has already visited with the New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks, and Houston Texans.

Slot cornerback Dru Phillips, who has a knee sprain, has not practiced since late last week. Greg Newsome (knee) has been out of practice this week. Multiple reports indicate Paulson Adebo did not practice on Tuesday.

The Giants have signed defensive backs J.T. Woods, David Long, and D.J. James during the past week.
