The goodwill the Cincinnati Bengals bought with their 2-0 start has been wasted on the two losses that see them going into Week 5 with a 2-2 record. After such a great start to the season, the Bengals dropped a winnable game in Pittsburgh in Week 3 and then did everything they could to ensure they’d lose in Week 4.
Now the Bengals travel to Miami to face the 0-4 Dolphins before they head into their Week 5 bye. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Bengals are opening as 7.5-point favorites for their game in Hard Rock Stadium. The Bengals will definitely want to head into their bye week with a winning record because they travel to Baltimore for their first of two division games against the Ravens.

The Bengals are definitely banged up as they head into Week 5. They came into Week 4 missing safeties Bryan Cook and Kyle Dugger, and they came out of their loss to the Jaguars without wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase (concussion) and Tee Higgins (adductor). It’s currently unclear as to what the status of the best wide receiver duo in the league will be, but their impact on a defense can’t be overstated.
Still, it’s clear the folks in Vegas still believe the Bengals are at least a touchdown better than the Dolphins despite their beleaguered state.
