The New England Patriots will return home for their upcoming game against the Las Vegas Raiders, and do so with a 2-2 record under their belts. That record comes courtesy of a win in Buffalo on Sunday that very much falls into the “statement” category.
The statement: these Patriots are not dead yet, and it appears the oddsmakers agree. The team of head coach Mike Vrabel is entering Week 5 as favorites over the Raiders, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Patriots being favorites despite having a worse record than the 3-1 Raiders comes down to two factors: home-field advantage, which is typically considered to be worth a three-point swing, and the most recent game. Whereas New England beat a previously-unbeaten Bills team 29-26, Las Vegas saw its perfect record go up in smoke via a 30-27 defeat at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kickoff between the two teams is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 11 at Gillette Stadium.
