Power forward Enrique Freeman has re-signed with the Timberwolves on a two-way contract, per NBA.com’s transaction log. Michael Scotto of HoopsHype first reported the move (via Twitter).
After playing his rookie season with the Pacers, Freeman joined the Wolves on a one-year, two-way contract last season. He played just four games for Minnesota, but had a strong G League season with the team’s affiliate in Iowa, averaging 16.5 PPG, 8.7 RPG and 2.4 APG on .542/.326/.728 shooting in 39 games (33.2 MPG).
Freeman, who played his college ball at Akron, isn’t overly explosive, but he makes up for it with strong rebounding instincts and some interesting passing ability. He was selected 50th overall in the 2024 draft.
The 25-year-old was recently extended a two-way qualifying offer, which he picked up on Thursday. Australian center Rocco Zikarsky and guard Zyon Pullin are the other players on two-way contracts with the Timberwolves.
