After spending the past 10 years in the NBA, veteran forward Dario Saric is returning to Europe and reuniting with his former team, Anadolu Efes.
The Turkish club and Saric’s agent Misko Raznatovic (Twitter links) announced that the 32-year-old has reached an agreement on a deal that will cover two seasons with an option for a third year.
The 12th overall pick in the 2014 draft, Saric remained overseas as a draft-and-stash prospect for two more years before signing with the Sixers in 2016. He finished second in Rookie of the Year voting that season and ultimately appeared in 498 regular season games for Philadelphia, Minnesota, Phoenix, Oklahoma City, Golden State, Denver, and Sacramento over the course of the next decade.
In his prime, Saric was an effective floor-spacer in the frontcourt — he holds career NBA averages of 10.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game on .443/.360/.838 shooting. However, the Croatian saw his role decline significantly in recent years. He made just 16 appearances for the Nuggets in 2024/25 and played five times for the Kings in 2025/26 before being traded to the Bulls and then the Pistons at February’s deadline. Detroit waived him a few days later.
Saric played for Anadolu Efes during the two years after he was drafted and before he made the move to the NBA. He won the Turkish Cup and Presidential Cup with the club in 2015, then put up an outstanding shooting line of .500/.403/.939 during his final EuroLeague season in ’15/16.
In addition to signing Saric, Anadolu Efes also announced a new deal for another former NBA player, guard Jordan Loyd. Loyd won a championship with the Raptors in 2019 but has played overseas since then, including spending last season with Efes. He agreed to a new one-year contract that includes a second-year option.
