Cornerback Christian Gonzalez returned to practice for the Patriots on Wednesday and he said that another return is coming this Sunday.

Gonzalez missed the last two games with a shoulder injury, but said he is “good now” and ready to play against the Jets this weekend.

“I’ve been itching, kind of going a little crazy when I’m not getting to play,” Gonzalez said, via Mike Reiss of ESPN.com. “It’s hard. You put in work with all these guys and then you don’t get to be out there with them.”

The Patriots also got wide receiver A.J. Brown back at practice on Wednesday and he could make his first appearance since injuring his ankle in the season opener. Given how big a part of the Patriots’ plans both players were coming into the season, having them in the lineup this week would be a good way to build on their current two-game winning streak.
