Caleb Williams is inching closer to a return for the Chicago Bears as the quarterback will be listed as a full participant on the team’s Wednesday injury report.
The Bears are only conducting a walk-through as they will not hold an actual practice until Thursday.

Head coach Ben Johnson noted that all three of the team’s quarterbacks, which includes Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum, are not 100%. But barring any sort of setback ahead of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, Williams could return after missing three weeks due to a hamstring injury.

“It’s still fluid. I feel like we have a good plan,” Johnson told reporters.
Williams suffered the Grade 2 hamstring injury at the end of Chicago’s Week 2 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The initial estimated reported timeline for his return was three-to-four weeks depending on how his recovery progressed. The Bears have continually labeled him as “week-to-week.”

With Williams sidelined, the Bears have gone 2-1, beating the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets, while losing to the Green Bay Packers this past Sunday.
Bagent and Keenum have started in Williams’ absence.
Williams was a limited participant in last Friday’s practice and did an on-field workout at Lambeau Field on Sunday, but was ruled out.
The Bears have a quick turnaround after the Falcons game as they return home to play the New England Patriots on Thursday night in Week 7.
