CeeDee Lamb carried the Dallas Cowboys and fantasy football managers on Sunday. The star receiver caught 17 passes for 189 yards and the game-winning touchdown as the Cowboys rallied to beat the Houston Texans, 34-30. He finished with 32.80 fantasy points in half-PPR scoring, the most of any player in Week 4 as we go to press.
His reception total is tied for the seventh-most in a game in NFL history. As for where the performance stacks up historically in fantasy, it isn’t even the best total by a wide receiver this season. That honor belongs to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who scored 38.00 fantasy points in Week 2 on nine receptions for 155 yards and three touchdowns. The difference? Lamb found the end zone once on Sunday, while JSN had a hat trick.

Does Lamb move ahead of Smith-Njigba in full-PPR scoring with those 17 receptions? Still no. In PPR leagues, Lamb finished with 41.30 fantasy points on Sunday, compared to Smith-Njigba’s 42.50 in Week 2.
This isn’t meant to diminish what Lamb is doing. He also posted 31.30 fantasy points in Week 2 on eight catches for 153 yards and two touchdowns — the fourth-highest WR total this season. With a preseason ADP of 11.8, he was a borderline first-round pick in 12-team leagues and has absolutely delivered. He’s scored double-digit fantasy points in all four games and is averaging 23.43 points per game.
With the Cowboys giving up an average of 28 points per game, there should be plenty more receptions and touchdowns to come for Lamb and his fantasy managers.
