The Cleveland Browns are on the road against the New York Jets in Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season this Sunday, October 11, at 1:00 pm ET. The Browns are 1.5-point underdogs against the Jets, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Last week, we hit on 3 of our 3 picks:

We took the over on WR KC Concepcion having 35.5 rushing yards. He had 64.
We took the over on WR Jerry Jeudy having 1.5 receptions. He had 3.
We took the over on QB Deshaun Watson having 45.5 passing yards in the 4th quarter. He had 71.
I don’t know if we can replicate that success every week, but I’ll certainly try.
Here are my favorite player prop bets from the Browns’ perspective in Week 5.

Through four games, Jared Verse has yet to record a sack for the Browns. However, the sacks are coming in other areas, and it’s only a matter of time before Verse gets home. Geno Smith has been sacked 4, 5, and 3 times over the last three games, and Cleveland got to him 10 times last year with the Raiders. With the rain falling too, there might be more coverage sacks, so I like the odds of Verse getting his first as a member of the Browns.

The player with the best odds of having the most receiving yards is Garrett Wilson. If he gets matched up with someone like Myles Harden, that might come true, but I’m expecting Denzel Ward to shadow him and keep him in check. Therefore, I like one of the Browns’ receivers to have the most receiving yards in the game for either team this week, and I think TE Harold Fannin at +950 is worth it.
I’m factoring in the rain again. Some may think the weather makes it more likely that a quarterback takes off for yards at some point. Deshaun Watson might get some short gains this week, but I think the footing will be worse for him on some runs with space, and he’ll want to slide a bit earlier.
