The Cincinnati Bengals find themselves with quite the opportunity heading into the final week before their Bye Week. Sitting at 2-2 after dropping their last two games in heartbreaking fashion, they will be facing the 0-4 Miami Dolphins.
Cincinnati is a team in need of a “get right” game where they can gain some confidence and momentum back on the season. After Week 2, many were talking about Super Bowl aspirations from this team at a national level. There may have been some full’s gold in those first two weeks from the Bengals’ defense, but they certainly played well enough for this team to have been able to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Bengals are also hoping to have Ja’Marr Chase (concussion) and Tee Higgins (groin and back) returning after they both exited the game against the Jaguars. That would certainly make life easier on Joe Burrow, who is coming off an outing with a couple of turnovers that were uncharacteristic of him.
Meanwhile, Miami is a team that knew a rebuild was coming, but it is easy to say they probably didn’t think it would be this bad. The offense helmed by Malik Willis — who was a fairly big free agent signing — has not been able to get over 13 points yet this season.
To be fair to them, the teams they have faced so far this season have a combined one loss that was from a game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders. Could they be ready to surprise a Bengals team expecting to breeze into a Bye Week?
