That was a thorough whistle-to-whistle butt-kicking, and the Chicago Bears need to regroup and turn the page after the stink bomb they dropped in Green Bay yesterday. The Bears fell behind 14 to 0, made it interesting heading into the half at 14 to 7, but did nothing coming out of the break and lost 31 to 7.
Even with the halftime score so close, head coach Ben Johnson felt like most fans when he dropped a few f-bombs to ESPN 1000 on his way into the locker room. Staying with the bomb theme, the Bears had no answer for Jordan Love’s right arm. He had one of the best games of his career, and his four pass plays of over 40 yards were the most the Bears have allowed in a game since at least 2000 (per The Athletic’s Kevin Fishbein via TruMedia).

His second touchdown to Christian Watson traveled 66.9 yards in the air, the third-longest completed air-yard pass in the NFL since NextGenStats started tracking it (2016).
The Bears need to figure out how to pressure the quarterback or cover better, and I don’t think a couple of defensive players returning from the PUP list is enough. Could we see another trade?
When the highlight of the day was the pregame workout from the starting quarterback, you know our show isn’t going to be anywhere near as balanced as usual.
