Alex Toohey, a second-round pick by the Warriors in 2025, will rejoin the team for training camp on an Exhibit 10 contract, a source tells Anthony Slater of ESPN (Twitter link).

Toohey, a 6’7″ forward out of Australia, signed a two-way deal last September, but he didn’t appear in any NBA games as he dealt with a left knee injury. He got into two contests with the G League Santa Cruz Warriors before being waived in early December as Golden State added Malevy Leons on a two-way contract. Toohey was part of the Warriors’ Summer League team this year.

Toohey, who was selected with the 52nd pick, played two years with the Sydney Kings prior to coming to the NBA. He received the NBL’s Next Generation Award in 2025.

The Exhibit 10 contract provides an opportunity for Toohey to earn a bonus worth up to $91K on top of his NBAGL base salary if he spends at least 60 days with Santa Cruz.

Toohey’s signing will bring Golden State up to the offseason roster limit of 21 players. The Warriors still have Lajae Jones as an unsigned draft pick.
