Lock Upp 2 fame Akanksha Chamola, who is the ex-wife of actor Gaurav Khanna, has been making headlines ever since she announced on Lock Upp that she and her husband Gaurav Khanna were headed for divorce. GK’s fans thought that Akanksha had made the revelation for the game show, as Gaurav never made any statement in the media or said anything on social media. However, Akanksha has often openly spoken about the divorce.

On Sunday, Akanksha unfollowed her estranged husband on Instagram. Not just that, Akanksha has also taken down all her pictures with him from the platform.

However, Gaurav continues to remain silent on the matter. The Bigg Boss 19 winner is still following Akanksha on Instagram and has also kept his pictures with her on his account.

Apart from removing her pictures with Gaurav and unfollowing him, it was widely reported that Akanksha Chamola had demanded Rs 10 crore as alimony from her ex-husband Gaurav Khanna. However, Akanksha dismissed the claim while explaining what she would have done if she really had access to such a huge amount.

In an interview with Mashable India, Akanksha was asked about the reported alimony demand. She responded, “Agar manga hota aur agar mil gaya hota to main yaha baithti. Agar sach me mere pas itne paise hote na to main kab ka ye desh chor kar chali gayi hoti (If I had demanded and received that amount, then I would not have cared to sit here. If I had that much money, I would have left the country by now).”

She then added that if she had that kind of money, she would rather use it to explore different parts of the world and travel.

For the unversed, when Akanksha entered Lock Upp, she left everyone shocked after revealing on the first day of the show that she and Gaurav had been living separately for the past year and were now headed for a divorce.

She said, “Gaurav Khanna and I are getting divorced. We have been living separately for the past one year. People don’t know about this yet. This is a decision we have both taken. We have been talking about it for the past one year.”

Akanksha added that there was no bitterness between them and said that, over time, they realised they wanted different things from life.

“There is nothing bad between Gaurav and me. We still talk to each other, but we feel that we are not right for each other as partners. That is because we both want different things in life,” she said.

In fact, Gaurav even visited Akanksha during one of the episodes, where the two were seen discussing the impact of her revelation on the outside world.

As of now, Akanksha is living with her parents at their Mumbai home. However, she plans to move into her own house soon.
