Ochai Agbaji signed with the Western Conference club, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Friday.
Agbaji, 26, played 40 games for the Raptors last season before being dealt alongside a second-round pick to the Brooklyn Nets in February, where he played 20 more games.
Across those 62 contests last season, the 2022 first-round pick averaged 5.1 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 26.6 per cent from three-point range — a steep drop from the prior season when he connected on 39.9 per cent of three-point attempts over 64 games for the Raptors.
Agbaji spent training camp with the New York Knicks but did not make the cut for the opening-day roster.
He’ll look to rediscover his shooting form alongside two-time reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in OKC, where key wings Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace were lost to long-term injuries.
Guard Alex Caruso is also expected to miss time with a sprained ankle.
Agbaji could make his Thunder debut as soon as Saturday, when the team takes on the undefeated Houston Rockets in Texas.
Oklahoma City holds a 4-1 record in the early going despite the injuries.
