After thoroughly handling the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, the Seattle Seahawks are set to host a second straight contender at Lumen Field on Monday Night Football in Week 8.
The Chicago Bears come to town equipped with the newly acquired Jeffery Simmons, who instantly changes the capabilities of the Chicago defensive line, while the Seahawks will have at their disposal the services of six-time All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson.

The addition of Nelson comes at an opportune time, as starting left tackle Charles Cross will miss the matchup against Chicago as he continues to work his way back from an ankle injury suffered against Kansas City, while former starting right guard Anthony Bradford is questionable with a knee issue.
Cross’ absence and the addition of Nelson means Josh Jones will be at left tackle, with Grey Zabel sliding over to right guard. That will mark the first time those three start at those positions for the Seahawks this season, just as the ground game looks to get going with neither Zach Charbonnet nor Jadarian Price carrying a gameday designation.
Of course, as John Boyle of the Seahawks points out, although Price does not have a designation heading into the game, the team would still need to move Price to the 53 man roster ahead of 4 pm New York time on Monday in order for him to suit up and play against the Bears.
In addition to Cross missing the Monday night matchup, Rashid Shaheed and Velus Jones have both been ruled out, and Uchenna Nwosu is listed as doubtful, meaning it is unlikely he suits up. Also designated as questionable alongside Bradford are Drew Lock, Patrick O’Connell and Brandon Pili.
