The Wizards have reached an agreement to sign undrafted rookie free agent KeShawn Murphy to an Exhibit 10 contract, reports Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress (Twitter link).
Murphy spent four years at Mississippi State, including a redshirt freshman year, before transferring to Auburn for his final year of NCAA eligibility in 2025/26. A reserve for the Bulldogs, the 6’10” forward entered the starting lineup as a Tiger and averaged 10.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 23.9 minutes per game across 31 outings last season.
Within his report, Chepkevich highlights Murphy’s defensive versatility, noting that he averaged 1.0 steal and 1.0 block per game with Auburn despite not playing huge minutes. He was a participant in this year’s Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed training camp deal that can be converted into a two-way contract before the regular season begins. More often, it’s used to secure a player’s G League rights and/or to ensure he gets a bonus worth up to a projected $91K if he spends at least 60 days with the team’s NBAGL affiliate.
