The Raptors and undrafted rookie free agent Nimari Burnett have reached an agreement on an Exhibit 10 contract, Hoops Rumors has confirmed. Jake Weingarten of StockRisers.com (Twitter links) was the first to report the deal.
Burnett, 24, spent a COVID-shortened year at Texas Tech in 2020/21 and then missed the entire ’21/22 season due to right knee surgery after transferring to Alabama. Following that redshirt year, the 6’5″ guard spent one more season with the Crimson Tide, then transferred to Michigan for his final three college seasons.
A full-time starter for a Wolverines team that won 37 games and the national championship, Burnett averaged 8.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 19.8 minutes per game in 2025/26, posting a shooting line of .453/.375/.776.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed training camp deal that positions a player to earn a bonus worth up to a projected $91K if he’s waived and then spends at least 60 days with his team’s G League affiliate. Exhibit 10 deals can also be converted into two-way contracts prior to the start of the regular season.
Either way it appears likely that Burnett will spend time with the Raptors 905 as a rookie.
