LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Flying into Las Vegas this week? You might get a little extra “welcome to town” before you even leave the airport.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and Harry Reid International Airport are teaming up to thank travelers for choosing Las Vegas and to launch National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW) with a celebration that’s about as Vegas as it gets: showgirls, festive photo ops, and complimentary giveaways.
Passengers can find the fun in Terminal 1 Baggage Claim and again at the rideshare pickup in the Terminal 1 Parking Garage.
NTTW, established by the U.S. Travel Association, highlights the role travel plays in boosting the economy and strengthening communities. In Southern Nevada, tourism remains the region’s top economic engine, with visitor spending generating $87.7 billion in total economic output and supporting more than 385,000 local jobs in 2024, according to the LVCVA.
National Travel & Tourism Week 2026 runs May 3–9, 2026.
