Wicketkeeper Henry Cullen has signed a new three-year contract with Worcestershire.

The deal will see the 23-year-old – a product of the Pears’ academy – remain at New Road until at least 2029.

Cullen made his competitive debut in 2022 and has made 38 appearances for the club across all formats, including in last year’s One-Day Cup final triumph when he scored the winning runs.

“I love playing my part within the dressing room and a big factor in my decision has been the ability to contribute that little bit more over the last two years where I feel I am improving.” he told the club’s website., external

Cullen has scored four List A half-centuries and hit a career best 64 against Northamptonshire in the County Championship earlier this month.

“Henry is a superb young cricketer, who has a lot of potential as both a batter and a wicketkeeper,” said Worcestershire chief executive Ashley Giles.

“We are always looking to build for the future, and Henry is part of that longer-term vision and someone who we see playing a key role across all formats.”

Meanwhile, Worcestershire have signed Australian seam bowler Sam Greer,, external 24, on a two-year contract after impressing for the second XI this summer.
