The Wizards have filled their open two-way contract slot by signing 46th overall pick Felix Okpara to a two-way deal, per NBA.com’s official transaction log.
The Wizards made a draft-night trade with the Magic and Bucks that saw them give up the 51st and 60th overall picks in order to move up to No. 46 to snag Okpara, who emerged as a high-level rim protector and lob threat over the course of four college seasons at Ohio State (2022-24) and Tennessee (2024-26).
In 2025/26, Okpara averaged 8.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in 26.9 minutes per game across 35 outings, earning a spot on the SEC’s All-Defensive team. At the draft combine in May, he measured in at 6’10” barefoot with a 7’2″ wingspan and a 9’4″ standing reach, giving him great size for a big man.
Okpara is unlikely to play a significant role right away in a Wizards frontcourt that will feature Anthony Davis, Alex Sarr, and Deandre Ayton. His two-way deal will make him eligible to appear in up to 50 NBA regular season games and will pay him $678,882, half of the rookie minimum.
Okpara joins Julian Reese and Jamir Watkins as the players currently holding two-way contracts in Washington.
