Last week, there was a little hope when I wrote the opening odds piece. The Tennessee Titans were coming off a win against the Indianapolis Colts. Their defense had played really well, and they were about to face an offense without much firepower. That is not the case this week.
The Titans have opened as 10.5-point underdogs on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals. It’s hard to see a scenario where Joe Burrow and the Bengals don’t hang 35 on the Titans. If they do, there is no way the Titans keep it within 10.5. They just don’t have the offense to keep up in a shootout.

We all long for the day when the Titans aren’t a double-digit underdog in any game they play. That will take them getting really good on at least one side of the ball. That shouldn’t be that hard with the way the NFL is set up. Unfortunately, the Titans just haven’t been able to figure pretty much anything out.
