Cam Ward is one of the quarterbacks featured on Quarterback on Netflix. The series follows four different quarterbacks through the 2025 season: Ward, Baker Mayfield, Joe Flacco, and Jayden Daniels. I am only in the second episode currently, but it has already provided some really interesting insights into the Titans’ 2025 season.
The most interesting piece from episode one was Ward talking Brian Callahan into a play in the 4th quarter of the Week 1 loss to the Denver Broncos. The Titans had a 3rd and 24 at Denver’s 38-yard line down 13-12 with just over 10 minutes left to go. A field goal there would have given the Titans the lead in a game no one expected them to have a chance in.

We don’t know what play Callahan wanted to run there, but on the episode you can hear Ward talking him into a passing play and promising he won’t take a sack. Callahan listens to his rookie quarterback in his first NFL game on the road and calls the pass play. Ward takes a sack, and the Titans have to punt.
Who knows if the result of the game would have been different if the Titans got a field goal there, but it was a bad look for Cally. You cannot let Ward, especially at that point in his career, dictate what you are going to do there. The quarterback is always going to want to be aggressive. The coach is responsible for reigning that in.
Have you been watching Quarterback? What were your thoughts on that exchange?
