Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Falcons fans and fans across the country.
Losing to the Ravens served as a bit of a reality check for the Falcons. For as exceptional as they looked against Green Bay and New Orleans, they were outplayed for long stretches against one of the NFL’s top teams. It was somewhat encouraging that they were in position to win despite struggling in the trenches, not running the ball efficiently down to down, and Michael Penix Jr. being rattled under pressure.

A spirited effort only gets a team so far when both units are making critical mistakes. The offense can’t afford to barely be on the field in the first quarter. That puts the defense in a precarious position, particularly late in games when they have to tackle one of the most ferocious running backs in NFL history. While the defense can be commended for overachieving, it’s a group with glaring limitations that opposing top offenses will exploit.
The errors made in the loss to Baltimore should be fixable. The question is what is most pressing that will determine the Falcons’ chances against a multitude of dynamic offenses on the horizon. What do you think the Falcons must fix to stay on track to win the NFC South during what is considered the hardest part of their schedule?
