We’ve got the results of our SB Nation Reacts polls for this week, ladies and gentlemen, so let’s take a look at what our readers had to say about our Minnesota Vikings and the questions we had about them this week.
Our first question, as always, was whether or not everyone thought that our favorite team was moving in the right direction. As we’ve said numerous times this week, the Vikings are the last undefeated team in the league at 6-0. But, in a truly fascinating trend, it seems that the more games the Vikings win, the less confident our readers are in their direction.
Of those who responded to our poll, just under half. . .49%, to be exact. . .are confident of the direction that the NFL’s last undefeated team is heading in. And as much as I’d love to vehemently disagree with them, honestly, it’s not difficult to see where they’re coming from on this one. The offense just continues to struggle at that whole “scoring points” thing that they’re supposed to be doing, and even though the defense and special teams are doing yeoman’s work out there every week, it’s hard to be confident in this team until they can put together a complete game. At this point, all we can do is hope that something clicks, because we’re rapidly approaching a point in the season where teams just are what they are.

Our other question for this week has to do with the league’s best defense. More specifically, who has been the best player on the league’s best defense during their 6-0 start. We gave you several names to choose from, and when it was all said and done, I think our readers made the best choice.

Of those who responded, 45% said that linebacker Blake Cashman was the Vikings’ defensive MVP through the team’s first six games, and given the way he’s looked over the past few weeks, it’s pretty difficult to argue with that. He was just named the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week after acting as a one-man wrecking crew against the Colts this past Sunday, and has been the heart and soul of the defense so far this year. Dallas Turner was a fairly close second, garnering 34% of the vote. Jalen Redmond checked in at the third-place spot with 14% of the vote, with “someone else” picking up 4% of the vote and Byron Murphy Jr. picking up 3% of the vote in our poll.
Those are our SB Nation Reacts results for this week, ladies and gentlemen. As always, we want to thank everyone who took the time to cast their votes in our polls for this week and discuss everything in the comments. We’ll have another poll for you next week, so keep your eyes open for that!
