The Indiana Pacers‘ star point guard is set to miss some time after suffering a left hamstring strain, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Wednesday.
According to Charania, team doctors are still in the process of figuring out a recovery timeline.
It’s unclear how Haliburton suffered the hamstring injury, but he played 34 minutes in Monday’s 110-102 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Haliburton, 26, has suited up in all four of the Pacers’ games this season. He missed the entire 2025-26 season while recovering from a torn Achilles suffered in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
He hasn’t missed a beat since lacing back up, having averaged a career-high 21.8 points and 4.5 rebounds along with 9.5 assists and 1.3 steals. He’s shooting 51.6 per cent from the field and 37 per cent from three-point range while playing 33 minutes a night.
The Pacers have gotten off to a middling start this year and sit at 2-2 heading into Wednesday night’s action. Without Haliburton last year, Indiana finished with a 19-63 record, good for 14th in the Eastern Conference.
