A change of scenery doesn’t appear to have changed Jaren Jackson Jr.‘s injury misfortune.
The Utah Jazz forward is set to miss the next six to eight weeks after suffering a torn MCL in his right knee, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Tuesday.
According to Charania, Jackson won’t require surgery.
Jackson suffered the injury in Monday’s 110-105 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. He exited the game in the first half, finishing the outing with six points, three rebounds and two assists in 10 minutes.
Heading into Monday’s game, Jackson had averaged 19.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, two assists and 1.7 blocks in 31.3 minutes a night.
Jackson appeared in only three games with Utah last season after being acquired in a trade with Memphis before undergoing season-ending surgery on his left knee. He averaged 22.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in those contests.
Utah has struggled in the early going, falling to a 1-3 record after the first week of action.
