The casualties of the Las Vegas Raiders’ four-game losing streak has begun.
The team is releasing defensive tackle Jonah Laulu according to NFL reporter Jordan Schultz.
Laulu was a waiver claim in 2024 as a rookie who was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts.

The Las Vegas native fell out of the playing rotation this season. He was a healthy scratch twice this season, including Sunday in a home loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He had five tackles and a half sack this season. He played 32 percent of the snaps this season.
Laulu was a big part of the rotation last season. He played 67.9 percent of the snaps last season and he had four sacks. 2025 sixth-round pick J.J. Pegues will likely get more playing time with Laulu out.
To replace Laulu on the 53-man roster, the Raiders activated wide receiver Dont’e Thornton from the injured reserve. The 2025 fourth-round draft pick will make his season debut Sunday at the New York Jets. He injured his hamstring early in training camp.
Also, wide receiver Jamari Thrash was released from the practice squad.
