A new Los Angeles Clipper will miss the beginning of the season.
Max Strus will miss at least four weeks due to a partial tear of the plantar fascia in his right foot, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Monday.
Strus suffered the injury in Sunday’s pre-season win over the Golden State Warriors.
The Clippers acquired the 30-year-old from the Cavaliers in August as part of the five-team trade that sent Peyton Watson to Cleveland.
Strus appeared in just 12 games last season with the Cavaliers due to a Jones fracture in his left foot that required surgery in the off-season. In his limited appearances, he averaged 11.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and two assists while shooting 40.2 per cent from three.
