The sharpshooting forward has signed a four-year, $39-million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Tuesday.
Wade has spent his entire seven-year career with the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2025-26, he averaged 5.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists with a 36.2 per cent clip from three.
The 29-year-old was pursued by many contenders, Charania adds. Wade is praised for his defensive abilities, which he put on display in the post-season as the Cavaliers made a run to the Eastern Conference finals.
Wade went undrafted out of Kansas State in 2019, but broke into the NBA on a two-way deal and now cashes in on a big contract.
