With the 14th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected Penn State guard Vega Ioane, and he’s been a rock-solid addition to the team’s offensive front in the first seven games of this season.
But the rookie blocker almost assuredly be on the field against the Bills in Week 8 after he suffered a knee injury in Baltimore’s Week 7 loss to the Bengals at home.
Fortunately for the Ravens, the injury isn’t considered to be a long-term ailment, per Ian Rapoport, but once can surmise from the report, Ioane won’t be on the field this week against the Bills.

The 6’4″, 320-pound blocker has only allowed eight pressures on 225 pass-blocking snaps to date and has been a road-grader for the Ravens run game in the first seven contests of this season. While Ioane is a right guard by trade, he actually manned the center spot in Weeks 4-6 for Baltimore.
It’ll either be veteran Andrew Vorhees or 2025 third-round pick Emery Jones filling in for Ioane during his absence.
Vorhees was a seventh-round pick in 2023 — he would’ve been picked higher but was selected with a torn ACL — and was Baltimore’s full-time starter at left guard in 2025 yet struggled mightily.
Jones is a 6’5″, 315-pounder from LSU who played 48 snaps as a rookie and has appeared on 228 snaps thus far in his second season in Baltimore. He’s allowed five pressures on 127 pass-blocking snaps to date.
